'Lesbian' defiles girl, 14

The victim narrated that she was on her to sell when the suspect Rejoice Obaayaa Binah called her to her room.

The Suhum Police Command in the Eastern Region has arrested a 25-year-old lady for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl.

The victim followed her and on reaching the room, Obaayaa gave her mobile phone to her to play games with the phone.

After some time, Obaayaa pushed her onto the bed, covered her mouth with her hand and forcibly sucked her breasts and fingered her.

Even though the victim screamed for help, there was nobody around to come to her rescue.

The victim was later sent to the Suhum Government Hospital and a complaint was lodged against Obaayaa at the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) in Suhum.

The victim went with her mother to the accuser’s house and identified her as the perpetrator. The accused was subsequently arrested.

In her caution statement, she admitted having committed the offence.

According to Accra FM, the victim’s father pleaded with the police to grant Obaayaa a police bail so that the matter can be settled at home between the families.

This is because the father of the victim is a former boyfriend of Obaayaa’s mother.

The victim’s mother is, however, demanding a compensation of GH¢3000 for her child but her husband wants the matter to be discontinued.
